About Ca’Del Grevino
When Randeep Singh Grewal purchased the Ca’ Del Grevino property, it was one of the few estates in Santa Maria with Italian heritage and influence. Randeep, and his Italian wife Nadia, fell in love with the Santa Maria Valley estate and surrounding atmosphere. Ca’ Del Grevino is located in the Santa Maria Valley appellation and just 10 miles from the Pacific Coast. The vineyard benefits greatly from cool, maritime influences and the long “hang-time” of the estate fruit is due in great part to the temperate climate of this coastal appellation. The name Ca’ Del Grevino, meaning “House of Grewal Wines”, is a play on the estate’s Italian influence.
Today the vineyard is farmed entirely with sustainability techniques, promoting the health and vitality of the property. The Grewal’s have found that Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah and Riesling strive best at the Santa Maria Valley estate as well as a small block of Dolcetto, a salute to Nadia’s Italian heritage. Randeep firmly believes that a high quality wine originates in the vineyard and thus there is passionate attention paid to farming high quality grapes.
